Worship during the pandemic

Suggestions for worship opportunities and how to help others in worship can be found here, including service sheets to be printed at home. For those Methodists feeling the loss of communion, there is a short act of spiritual communion.

George Floyd

The President of the Methodist Conference, the Revd Dr Barbara Glasson, has released a personal statement following the recent killing of George Floyd in the United States.

Domestic Abuse

The Joint Public Issues Team are calling for changes to the Domestic Abuse Bill currently going through Parliament. JPIT are asking people to contact their MP and ensure that the bill creates a response that works for all abuse survivors. Read more here.


A film about the experience of Covid-19 through the lens of MHA is to be shown on Newsnight this evening, 4 June. The programme will be broadcast on BBC 2 at 10.45pm and will be available on BBC iPalayer shortly after broadcast.

14 June

MHA Sunday 

The theme this year is kindness, inspired by the book of Ruth, and the care given by MHA volunteers and colleagues. MHA Sunday, 14 June, will be an opportunity to give thanks and celebrate the specialist care and support services, enabling people to live later life well. 25 June - 2 July

The Methodist Conference 

The Conference is the governing body of the Methodist Church and meets annually to discuss matters affecting the life of the Church, the nation and the world. The Methodist Council has agreed that the Conference cannot meet as planned in Telford in June and has decided that it will meet virtually this year.

12 July

Action for Children Sunday  

Action for Children Sunday is on 12 July this year, but you can hold your service whenever you like. Materials are availablhere to help you to plan a special service.
