With Faith in Mind

churches together in lancashire

26th May 2022

The day will have a particular focus on mental health (am) and partnerships (pm). A flier for the day is attached here.

Two key aims are:

a. Support / guide churches who want to get involved in social action but not sure where/ how to start

b. Demonstrate to public sector partners the potential of the faith sector in contributing to wellbeing of society

The day is being planned to consist of three main elements:

- Some keynote speakers from Public Health, Health and Faith sectors
- A series of workshops on different aspects of this agenda
- An opportunity to showcase and celebrate some of the excellent practice that already exists in local churches

So far we have lined up speakers, workshop facilitators and a few 'show cases' (examples of where churches are already active in local partnership working).

Dr Sakthi Karunanithi (Director of Public Health for Lancashire) has agreed to provide the opening keynote address, and Rachel Lampard (formerly President of Methodist Conference and JPIT) has agreed to provide input during the day.
